IBM and SAP Announce Alloy(TM)

formerly code named Atlantic

Today at the annual Lotusphere conference, IBM and SAP AG announced the offical name of their first joint software product called Alloy(TM)...

Alloy connects IBM Lotus Notes software with the SAP Business Suite, allowing enterprises to access SAP functions and tools from their Lotus Notes client.

Planned features:

Reports management
Leave management
Travel management
Workflow decision management

At Lotusphere, IBM and SAP showcased successful early results of this product with several customers, including Colgate-Palmolive and Arla Foods.
