Sybase Unwired Platform Part 1

Two weeks ago SAP announced that it will acquire Sybase, the leading company for enterprise mobility. Many people criticized this move because of the huge amount of money SAP will spend. msc mobile and I work with Sybase solutions since a while and therefore I can fully understand SAP. With this series of blogs I want to introduce Sybase' Enterprise Mobile Application Platform Sybase Unwired Platform (SUP).

DOE is a model driven middleware system. To be called that it sure need some model somewhere. It comes in the form of Data Objects or DO for short. Here is an introduction to the concept and to the feature DOE provides surrounding it.

So what is new in this 0.1 release. In fact, the question should be what is not new, because everything has changed! DOE is a complete new engine both Under the hood and in front of the wheel. It is a complete model driven middleware stack to mobilize SAP application. Let me give you a first introduction into the different terminology of the Data Orchestration Engine.
